Happy weekend friends, hope this finds you all well! Can you beleive it is daylight savings weekend? Ack, could it be that Spring is really on it’s way? We had more snow this past week here in Vancouver so it has not been feeling like we are about to change seasons! We are leaving for Hawaii for Spring Break this coming week and I am desperately craving some sunshine!
Today’s post is a round up of things that have caught my eye, recipes I have tried, books that I have read and also movies/tv shows I have seen. I am also including some link love at the end of this post which will take you to a few recent posts from some of my favorite bloggers!
We are moving into one of my favorite fashion seasons…Spring! I am pretty sick of my winter wardrobe at this point and am so looking forward to some lighter clothing options! With our upcoming trip to Waikiki, I have been eyeing up some new dresses at Old Navy. Here are a couple that have caught my eye!
They also have some really great blouses at Old Navy right now. The pastel colors and soft florals just scream spring to me! Like this one with the smocking at the neckline…so cute!
Have you ever heard of the website Cupshe? They have really cute and affordable swimwear. I discovered this week that some of their suits are available on Amazon, and for Prime members like me, shipping is free! Last summer one-piece suits were very trendy and all of my favorite fashion bloggers were wearing them. This season I am seeing a lot of these high waisted bikinis and I thought I would give this one a try.
I figure even if I hate the high waisted bikini bottom on me, I can still wear the cute flouncy bikini top with a pair of my own black bottoms. I haven’t received it yet so I will keep you posted!
I paid a visit to Anthropologie and really liked these jeans…
I mentioned in my last “What I’m Loving Lately” that I really like Pilcro and the Letterpress which is Anthropologie’s house brand. Great fit at a decent price point!
And speaking of Anthropologie, I have a new favorite candle scent! It’s called Sparkling Grapefruit and it is lovely! My usual anthro candle go-to is the Volcano scent but I decided to give this new one a try and I love it!
I decided to go back and pick up another candle for my office and lucked in to a 20% off candles and diffusers sale! It is only on until tomorrow so I grabbed another Sparkling Grapefruit candle for my office.
Another recent purchase that I am excited about is this fluffy faux fur stool!
I lucked into this little beauty at Homesense and I am glad I bought it. I also bought this new planter, which I am equally excited about.
I have heard that snake plants are super easy to keep alive and somehow I now have 3 of them! I got this smaller snake plant at IKEA and it worked perfectly with this planter pot I had on hand.
One last good find to mention, if you are looking for a dining table, I recently purchased this one for a client:
It comes in two different rectangle sizes and there is also a round version. Really love this table!
I have mentioned before that my favorite blog for recipes is called “A Pretty Life in The Suburbs”. I tried this recipe for Pizza Pasta Bake this week and it was really good and quick and easy to make.
The kids really like it too, it even got a “mmm, this is good mom, make it again!” so that’s a win!
I used Gluten free pasta and pepperoni to make it gluten free – my youngest has a gluten intolerance.
I read this book recently, it was another “Reese’s bookclub” book and it was so good.
This book is about about “a family with a transgender child and is in the lead for the most sensitively and sincerely told story of 2017…Frankel’s portrayal of even the most openhearted parents’ doubts and fears around a child’s gender identity elevates this novel”.
I was away in LA catching up with a girlfriend recently and the hotel I was staying at had HBO on demand…what a treat! I watched the whole series of Jennifer Garner’s hilarious series called “Camping”
I loved every second of this show, so freakin’ funny! I hope there is a second season!
There are a few blog posts that I have really enjoyed recently and I thought I would share them with you!
Well that concludes this installment of what i’m loving lately! If you have any questions or comments, please share them below!
I am so excited for next week’s post, I am collarborating with a friend and local Personal Stylist and we are going to be talking about how to define your style, both in fashion and home decor. It’s going to be a great post so make sure to check in next Saturday!
Thanks for reading!
